The famous leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu would be appearing in the federal high Court Abuja, today being the 20th of June 2016. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is answering to a six-count treason charge by the federal government of Nigeria, under Justice John Tsoho who declined to grant kanuAbail and also permitted the prosecution to shield the identity of eight witnesses billed to testify against the accused after he initially rejected the application for shielded witness, making his rulings in-acquiescent.

Justice Tsoho also accepted the argument of the prosecution that the activities of the defendants constitute threat to national security. He also noted that theAoffence of the treasonable felony, Nnamdi Kanu and the other two co- accused are charged with attracts life imprisonment as punishment and is prejudicial to national security.
